SMAIO (Euronext Growth Paris: ALSMA), a French-American company specializing in complex spine surgery solutions, announced the appointment of Matthieu Ville as Chief Commercial Officer.

Ville brings over 15 years of experience in medical technology marketing and commercialization. He previously held positions at Medicrea/Medtronic, NuVasive, and eCential Robotics, where he worked on patient-specific platforms and spinal systems across multiple continents.

At Medicrea, Ville served as Marketing Director and contributed to the development and sales of the UNiD ASI patient-specific platform and more than 10 spinal systems. He later joined NuVasive in San Diego, where he led the worldwide upstream marketing team for enabling technologies and oversaw the Pulse digital and analytics product portfolio launch across three continents.

Most recently, Ville worked as Vice President of Marketing at eCential Robotics, leading marketing and clinical teams for imaging and robotics portfolios while contributing to the company's U.S. expansion through system sales and partnerships.

In his new role at SMAIO, Ville will lead global commercial and marketing efforts to expand adoption of the company's i-Kontrol smart realignment ecosystem and the KEOPS-4ME open platform in the United States.

"I am honored to join SMAIO — a company I have long admired for its realignment expertise and bold vision to improve patient outcomes," Ville stated in the press release.

Philippe Roussouly, Chairman and CEO of SMAIO, said Ville's French-American background and understanding of the North American medical technology landscape make him valuable for the company's U.S. expansion plans.

SMAIO operates from Dallas and Lyon, France, and employs more than 40 specialized staff members. The company's KEOPS software has documented more than 100,000 patient cases.
