SEGG Media Corporation (NASDAQ: SEGG, LTRYW) announced it will change its CUSIP number as part of its corporate transition from Lottery.com Inc. The company said the action is designed to protect shareholders and address concerns about illicit trading activity.
The Fort Worth, Texas-based company completed its corporate rebrand and began trading under the ticker symbol 'SEGG' earlier this month. The CUSIP change represents another step in the company's transition to its new corporate identity.
"The company is continuing to work closely with its outside counsel, Paul Hastings LLP, to investigate and pursue potential illegal market activity, including the use of naked short selling," said Christopher Gooding, Independent Director of SEGG Media and member of the Audit Committee. "The company is taking appropriate regulatory steps to protect its shareholders and ensure fair and orderly market conditions."
Gooding said the CUSIP change "acts as a protective measure in light of the data we've seen regarding shorting patterns and potentially unlawful activity targeting our stock."
SEGG Media describes itself as a technology company operating in the sports, entertainment and gaming sectors. The company operates digital assets including Sports.com and Lottery.com.
The company filed a Form 8-K on July 7, 2025, available on the Securities and Exchange Commission website, according to the press release.
