REV Exploration starts 3D seismic survey at Montana helium project
REV Exploration Corp. (TSXV: REVX; OTC: REVFF; FSE: 7FF) has commenced a 26.75-kilometer 3D seismic survey at its West Butte Helium Project in Montana, according to a company statement. The survey is being conducted by Tetra Tech and is expected to be followed by a first-ever drill program at the site.
Tetra Tech previously completed a similar survey at MAX Power Mining's (CSE: MAXX) Lawson Natural Hydrogen Discovery. REV holds approximately 14,000 acres of oil and gas leasehold interests in Montana.
The seismic program is intended to image basement structures and fault systems, confirm structural closures, assess reservoir presence, and identify areas prospective for natural hydrogen accumulations. REV says the survey is aimed at advancing West Butte toward drill-ready status across multiple targets for the current summer season.
CEO Jordan Potts said in the statement: "What makes this opportunity at West Butte truly compelling is the combination of proven discovery success nearby and the scale of the geological system we now control, not just at West Butte but elsewhere in Montana and just across the border in southern Alberta on the same trend."
REV also holds petroleum and natural gas leases in Alberta along the Alberta-Montana border, including the Aden Dome project. The company is a shareholder of MAX Power Mining, holding six million shares. REV states it continues to evaluate potential acquisitions of exploration plays in helium and natural hydrogen in the Northern Great Plains and southern Alberta and Saskatchewan regions.
