Powerfleet (Nasdaq: AIOT) has launched SafeGuard in Australia, an AI-powered risk intelligence solution designed to help fleet operators identify and address high-risk driver behavior in real time.
SafeGuard is available as an add-on to Powerfleet's existing VisionAI video solution and is integrated within the company's Unity platform. The product uses artificial intelligence to continuously assess driver risk across a fleet, with the stated aim of helping safety teams prioritize events most likely to lead to incidents.
According to the company's press release, operators using SafeGuard have reported up to an 83% reduction in on-road risk, 95% fewer false positive video event alerts, and an 80% reduction in video review time.
The launch follows increased regulatory pressure on Australian fleet operators under Work Health and Safety and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
"Operators have access to more safety data than ever before, but knowing where to focus remains a significant challenge," said Brodie von Berg, Managing Director of Powerfleet APAC. "SafeGuard helps safety teams augment AI video safety by identifying the highest-risk drivers and behaviours in real time, enabling earlier intervention, more effective coaching and ultimately safer outcomes across the fleet."
SafeGuard is available immediately to Australian fleets as an add-on to VisionAI. Powerfleet is headquartered in New Jersey and serves customers across transportation, logistics, industrial, and enterprise markets globally.
