Power Metallic reports high-grade drill results at Lion Zone

February 18, 2026 9:29 AM EST

Power Metallic Mines Inc. (TSXV: PNPN) announced drill results from its fall 2025 program at the Lion Zone, including 20.40 meters of 4.11% copper equivalent in hole PML-25-046 and 8.60 meters of 6.34% copper equivalent in hole PML-25-045.

The drilling program targeted extensions to the Lion Zone and aimed to define zone geometry for a future mineral resource estimate. Hole PML-25-046 intersected 8.40 meters at 8.05% copper equivalent within the broader 20.40-meter intersection. The mineralization included high values of palladium at 5.01 grams per tonne, along with platinum and gold.

Hole PML-25-045 returned multiple intersections, including 5.10 meters at 9.86% copper equivalent within the 8.60-meter interval. Additional results included 7.66 meters at 2.69% copper equivalent in hole PML-25-034a.

The company noted that hole PML-25-046 was initially expected to be lower-grade based on visible copper mineralization, but assay results revealed significant precious metal content. Power Metallic is developing logging procedures to identify these higher-grade precious metal zones within the polymetallic deposit.

Hole PML-25-036, located approximately 150 meters west of the main Lion zone, intersected 7.20 meters at 0.95% copper equivalent, indicating potential for additional mineralization west of the current zone.

The company expects to receive remaining fall drill results in February and plans to provide updates on exploration at Lion West, Hydro lands, Tiger Deep and other prospects. Power Metallic is developing the Nisk Project Area in Canada, which contains copper, platinum group elements, nickel, gold and silver mineralization.
