Polar Power adds two directors to its board

Polar Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: POLA) has elected Jim Ahern and Menachem "Menny" Shalom to its Board of Directors, filling two vacant seats, according to a company statement.
The appointments, approved by the board on August 17, 2026, designate both men as independent directors. Each will serve on the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Ahern is a professor at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, where he teaches in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship. He has more than 40 years of experience in corporate leadership and executive consulting, with prior management roles in the technology and telecommunications industries. He holds a bachelor of arts from Northeast Missouri State University and a master's degree from Webster University.
Shalom currently serves as chief executive officer and board member of T3 Defense Inc. (NASDAQ: DFNS), a position he has held since September 2024. He also serves as chief executive officer, president, and chairman of Star 26 Capital, Inc. and as chairman of B. Rimon Agencies Ltd. He is CEO and director of Motomova Inc. (OTC: MTMV) and co-chief executive officer of MEA Testing Systems Ltd. Shalom additionally serves as CEO and director of two SPACs, SC II Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ: SCII) and Kochav Defense Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ: KCHV). He holds an MBA from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an LLM in corporate law from Columbia University School of Law.
