PodcastOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: PODC), a subsidiary of LiveOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: LVO), announced a multi-year distribution, content, and marketing partnership with National Military Podcast Day (NMPD), according to a company press release.
The partnership launched with a 16-hour live-stream marathon on October 5, featuring 32 military and veteran podcasters in 30-minute segments. The event was described as covering "26.2 miles" of live and archived podcast content, with special guests and giveaways throughout.
Under the agreement, PodcastOne will stream the full marathon live and make the content available on demand. The network will also promote NMPD across several of its shows, including #StillServing: The VFW podcast, The MilSpouse Show!, The Hard to Kill Podcast, and History On The Road.
NMPD was founded by Colonel Riccoh Player, United States Marine Corps (Retired), and is held annually on October 5. The event recognizes military service members and veterans who use podcasting to share their experiences.
"PodcastOne's help in rapidly scaling mission is invaluable," said Colonel Player. "Their expertise, their national and global reach, and their constellation of podcast stars will help us share the personal stories of our military mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters with an audience we could never have reached alone."
Kit Gray, President of PodcastOne, said the network is committed to the partnership. "Podcasting is at its best when it lets people speak for themselves, and no community has earned that microphone more than this one," Gray said.
PodcastOne states its distribution network delivers more than one billion monthly impressions across platforms including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and iHeartRadio, with more than 3.9 billion total downloads recorded.
