Pitney Bowes names Paul Evans as chief financial officer

Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) appointed Paul Evans as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer, effective July 29. Evans replaces Robert Gold, according to a company statement.

Evans previously served on Pitney Bowes' board of directors and chaired the audit committee before stepping down to assume the CFO role. The company appointed Peter Brimm as an independent board member to fill the vacancy.

Evans brings experience as a former public company CEO and CFO. He most recently served as chief operating officer at America's Auto Auction Group and previously held executive positions at Hill International Inc., MYR Group Inc. (NASDAQ: MYRG), and NorthWestern Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: NWE). He also served on the boards of GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME) and Hill International.

"When Paul and I served together on the board of directors of GameStop in 2020 and 2021, we worked side-by-side to help recapitalize the balance sheet, eliminate debt and enhance shareholder value," said Kurt Wolf, Pitney Bowes CEO.

Brimm currently serves as president of Envoy Holdings, a family office. He previously worked as a portfolio manager for hedge funds including Relational Investors and West Face Capital Inc. Brimm holds board positions at Medical Facilities Corporation (TSX: DR) and previously served on the board of Dye & Durham (TSX: DND).

Evans holds a Master of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and is a certified public accountant. Brimm earned an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and holds a CFA charter.

The company will file additional details about the appointments on Form 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
