PTC named official engine design software partner of TRD U.S.A.

PTC Inc. (NASDAQ: PTC) announced it has been designated as the Official Engine Design Software Partner of TRD U.S.A. (Toyota Racing Development), according to a company press release.
Under the partnership, PTC's Creo computer-aided design software and Windchill product lifecycle management solutions will be the designated tools for TRD's high-performance engine design and development operations. TRD develops motorsport engines for NASCAR, GR Cup, off-road racing, and other racing competitions.
"PTC has been a trusted part of our engine development process for many years, supporting our teams from initial design through production," said Tyler Gibbs, President of TRD U.S.A. "As our engineering programs continue to evolve, partnering with PTC allows us to further leverage PTC's expertise and technology to improve collaboration, efficiency, and development speed across our organization."
TRD's engineering team in Costa Mesa uses PTC's software solutions throughout the engine development process, from early design phases to race-ready production. The high-performance division serves as Toyota and Lexus's motorsport engineering arm.
PTC, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, provides software solutions for manufacturers and product companies. The company employs over 7,000 people and serves more than 30,000 customers globally.
Toyota Motor Corp. (NYSE: TM) operates 14 manufacturing plants in North America and sold more than 2.9 million vehicles in 2025, with more than 47 percent being electrified vehicles including hybrids, plug-in hybrids, battery electric, and fuel cell vehicles.
