Orbia names new CFO as current finance chief plans retirement

Orbia Advance Corporation (BMV: ORBIA) announced that Chief Financial Officer James P. Kelly will retire after nearly five years with the company, with Cristian Capellino set to replace him as CFO effective March 15, 2026.



Kelly joined Orbia in 2021 and will remain with the company through mid-year to facilitate the transition. During his tenure, he focused on financial discipline, capital allocation, and strengthening the company's balance sheet and cash generation capabilities.



Capellino currently serves as Vice President of Finance Transformation at Orbia, a role he has held since joining the company in 2020. He previously worked in senior leadership positions across controllership, tax, and financial planning and analysis within Orbia's global finance organization.



Prior to Orbia, Capellino held senior finance and business leadership roles at Tenaris, a NYSE-listed industrial company. He brings more than 23 years of finance leadership experience in global industrial and manufacturing environments. Capellino holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Public Accountant degree from the National University of Córdoba.



As CFO, Capellino will oversee Orbia's global finance organization, including accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, tax, and investor relations functions.



The Boston-based company operates in polymer solutions, building and infrastructure, precision agriculture, connectivity solutions, and fluor and energy materials sectors. Orbia has over 23,000 employees and commercial activities in more than 100 countries, generating $7.6 billion in revenue in 2025.
