Optimi Health ships psilocybin capsules to Australia in third export
Optimi Health Corp. (NASDAQ: OPTH) (CSE: OPTI) (FSE: 8BN0) has completed its third commercial shipment of 5mg psilocybin capsules to Australia since the product's September 2025 launch, according to a company statement.
The shipment contained 1,000 capsules produced at Optimi's GMP-certified facility in Princeton, British Columbia, and exported under authorization from Health Canada. The capsules are prescribed in Australia for treatment-resistant depression, a condition defined as major depression that has not responded to multiple standard antidepressant treatments.
Australia rescheduled psilocybin from a prohibited substance to a controlled medicine for treatment-resistant depression effective July 1, 2023. Optimi's product is being prescribed under the Therapeutic Goods Administration's Authorized Prescriber Scheme and is reimbursed by payers including the Department of Veterans' Affairs, the National Disability Insurance Scheme, WorkCover, and Medibank. More than 750 clinicians have been trained to deliver the therapy.
"We are not aware of any serious adverse events reported since inception based on data collected through December 31, 2025," said CEO Dane Stevens.
Optimi also manufactures MDMA, which Australia rescheduled on the same date for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder. The company supplies finished psilocybin and MDMA drug products to regulated markets internationally for both patient access and clinical research.
