Okta and Palo Alto Networks expand security partnership with AI integrations

July 15, 2025 8:02 AM EDT

Okta Inc. (NASDAQ: OKTA) and Palo Alto Networks Inc. (NASDAQ: PANW) announced an expanded partnership featuring new integrations designed to create a unified security architecture for organizations facing sophisticated cyber attacks.

The companies introduced two primary integrations according to a press release statement. The first connects Okta Workforce Identity with Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access Browser, creating a conditional access method that restricts access to single sign-on applications through a secure browser only.

The second integration links Okta's Identity Threat Protection with Okta AI to Palo Alto Networks' Cortex SecOps platform, including Cortex XSIAM and Cortex XDR. This integration provides organizations with a unified view of identity-related risks across their attack surface and enables automated threat responses such as revoking user access, ending active sessions, and quarantining endpoints.

"AI is supercharging attacks on user credentials, requiring a 'fight AI with AI' approach that brings identity directly into an organization's security infrastructure for a real-time and unified response," said Stephen Lee, VP of Technology Partnerships at Okta.

The integration with Prisma Access Browser allows employees to securely access corporate web applications and data from managed or unmanaged devices while providing security teams with enhanced visibility and control over software-as-a-service and web application usage.

Pam Cyr, VP of Technical Partnerships at Palo Alto Networks, stated that the integrations are "engineered to work together, making it easier for our customers to achieve higher levels of security and user experience."

The companies serve nearly 2,000 joint customers according to the release. The partnership aims to reduce security complexity and costs while providing comprehensive protection against identity-based threats.
