OKI Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TOKYO: 6703) signed a strategic partnership agreement with Lazarus Enterprise, Inc., a Massachusetts-based AI technology company, effective January 1, 2026, according to a company statement.

The partnership aims to accelerate AI adoption in mission-critical fields including social infrastructure, core corporate operations, and defense sectors. The collaboration addresses challenges that have limited AI deployment in sensitive areas, particularly issues related to AI hallucinations and difficulty in verifying AI-generated responses.

Lazarus AI's technology features transparent information generation with cited sources, document analysis capabilities, and security standards that have gained adoption by the U.S. Department of Defense. OKI will combine these technologies with its operational expertise in defense applications to address accuracy, accountability, and consistency challenges in AI implementation.

The partnership will focus on developing AI solutions for operational decision-making in critical facilities and knowledge transfer from skilled personnel. The technologies can be deployed in on-premises environments while maintaining confidentiality requirements.

"I am genuinely excited about our strategic partnership with OKI," said Alex Panait, CEO of Lazarus AI. "By bringing together OKI's market presence and domain expertise with Lazarus AI's advanced enterprise AI technologies and systems, we are opening a new and important chapter in our global go-to-market strategy."

OKI, founded in 1881, operates through Public Solutions, Financial & Payments Solutions, and Components & Manufacturing business divisions. The Tokyo-based company provides information and telecommunication solutions across various sectors.

The companies plan to develop and verify AI utilization models for practical operation in social infrastructure, corporate operations, and defense applications through real-world use case development.
