Newsmax extends multi-year distribution deal with Fubo streaming platform

Newsmax Inc. (NYSE: NMAX) announced a multi-year partnership agreement with streaming platform Fubo (NYSE: FUBO) that continues distribution of its main channel and adds Newsmax en Español to the service.

The agreement maintains Newsmax's placement on Fubo's base Pro plan while adding Newsmax en Español to the platform's Latino plan and Latino Plus add-on package. According to the company, Newsmax ranks as the fourth highest-rated cable news network based on Nielsen data and operates across major pay TV platforms.

Newsmax en Español uses AI technology to dub content into Spanish on a live basis, which the company describes as the first U.S.-based news channel to implement this approach.

"Fubo has carried Newsmax for many years and was one of the first internet-based pay TV distributors to do so," said Andy Biggers, Newsmax's Senior Vice President of Distribution. "We have found them to be outstanding partners who consistently demonstrate a firm commitment to diverse, independent voices through their programming lineup."

Todd Mathers, Executive Vice President of Content Strategy and Acquisition at Fubo, stated that access to live news programming alongside sports and entertainment content addresses consumer demand in a continuous news cycle.

The streaming service positions itself as a sports-focused platform that aggregates live TV content. Fubo operates in the United States, Canada, Spain, and France through its Molotov service.

According to the press release, Newsmax reaches more than 40 million Americans through its television channel, mobile app, website, and publications, with 20 million combined social media followers.
