NFI Group Inc. (TSX: NFI, OTC: NFYEF, TSX: NFI.DB) announced the appointment of Rob Marion as president of Motor Coach Industries, effective April 2, 2026. Marion will report directly to NFI's President and Chief Executive Officer John Sapp.

Marion joined New Flyer in 1994 and has held various positions in facilities engineering, production, manufacturing engineering, and part fabrication over three decades. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Fabrication, overseeing operational excellence and performance for all North American internal part fabrication and sub-assembly operations across New Flyer, MCI, KMG, and Carfair Composites.

The appointment establishes a dedicated president for MCI after former NFI President and CEO Paul Soubry served as interim president until his retirement in January 2026. Marion will oversee MCI's sales, engineering, manufacturing, service, and support functions.

NFI combined its New Flyer and MCI businesses into one operating unit in 2020 due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and global supply chain challenges. The company streamlined operations while strengthening engineering, supply, and product development platforms during a period of lower market demand for MCI.

"Today's announcement represents a natural and strategic time to re-establish MCI as its own dedicated business," said Sapp. "MCI has seen significant market recovery, with the launch of new vehicle models, harmonized production lines, and an expanded service offering."

Marion holds a Manufacturing Engineering Technology diploma from Red River College and various certifications including Chartered Manager designation, Production and Inventory Management certificate, and Certified Blackbelt accreditation in lean manufacturing. He serves on the Board of Directors for the CWB Welding Foundation.

MCI manufactures motorcoaches for public and private markets in North America, with products including the J Series, D Series, and zero-emission electric models. The company provides maintenance, repair, parts, and training services through its MCI Academy.
