Mineros S.A. appoints David Splett as chief financial officer
Mineros S.A. (TSX: MSA, MINEROS: CB) announced David Splett will join as chief financial officer effective July 22, 2025.
Splett brings nearly 35 years of international resource sector experience as a Chartered Professional Accountant. He previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at Calibre Mining Corp. and chief financial officer at Elevation Gold Mining Corporation from 2020.
From 2016 to 2019, Splett was chief financial officer for Latin America at Goldcorp Inc., where he handled strategy and policy implementation for the region. His career also includes roles as vice president of finance at Mosaic Corporation, chief financial officer positions at Minera Panama SA and Minera Antamina, and various positions at Teck Resources.
Splett holds degrees in economics and administration from the University of Regina, a master's degree in management systems from the University of Hull in the UK, and an MBA from Queens University in Ontario.
"With deep financial expertise, a proven ability to drive disciplined capital allocation, and a strategic mindset, David brings exactly the kind of leadership we need as we enter our next phase of growth," said David LondoƱo, president and chief executive officer, according to the company's statement.
Mineros is a Latin American gold mining company based in Medellin, Colombia, with operations in Colombia and Nicaragua. The company's shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange and Colombia Stock Exchange.
