Maris-Tech Ltd. (NASDAQ: MTEK, MTEKW) announced it has moved from planning to active hardware testing and integration of its advanced payload designed for space-based edge computing and video processing applications.

The Israel-based company develops video and artificial intelligence-based edge computing technology for defense, aerospace, and commercial space applications. The payload testing represents progress in demonstrating the company's technology for orbital operations.

Maris-Tech's systems are designed for low-power, low-latency onboard processing to enable real-time video handling and AI-driven analytics in space environments. The technology supports applications including collision avoidance, proximity operations, and autonomous decision-making.

The company has previous space experience through its Neptune-Space video system, which was deployed on the 2019 SpaceIL Beresheet mission to lunar orbit. The system captured and transmitted video and images during the privately funded spacecraft's journey.

Maris-Tech offers Jupiter and Uranus platform families featuring multi-stream video encoding, low-latency streaming, and AI acceleration in compact designs for satellites. These platforms enable onboard object detection, tracking, and analytics.

"The commercial space sector represents a compelling diversification opportunity for Maris-Tech, leveraging our core strengths in defense situational awareness and unmanned systems particularly through strategic partnerships," said Israel Bar, Chief Executive Officer.

The company cited a Goldman Sachs report projecting the global satellite market could reach $108 billion by 2035, with optimistic scenarios estimating up to $457 billion in the same timeframe. The growth is attributed to low-Earth orbit satellite deployments for broadband, imaging, and situational awareness applications.
