MAX Power Mining names Chad Levesque president and board director
MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FSE: 89N) has appointed Chad Levesque as president and a new member of its board of directors, according to a company statement.
Levesque previously served in an investor relations capacity at MAX Power since the company became publicly traded in 2022, with responsibilities spanning capital markets, corporate development, and stakeholder engagement. He has more than two decades of experience supporting North American resource and junior mining companies.
In connection with the appointment, the company granted Levesque 300,000 restricted share units and 650,000 stock options. The RSUs vest in equal thirds over three years. The options are exercisable at $2.26 per common share and expire June 22, 2031.
MAX Power is focused on natural hydrogen exploration in Saskatchewan. The company holds approximately 1.3 million acres of permits across the province and describes its Lawson Discovery near Central Butte as Canada's first subsurface natural hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling, with data validated by three independent laboratories. The Lawson Complex is interpreted to cover a 28-square-kilometer area along the 475-kilometer Genesis Trend.
CEO Ran Narayanasamy said in the statement that Levesque's capital markets expertise and familiarity with the company are relevant as activity increases at Lawson and elsewhere in Saskatchewan.
The company said it is nearing the start of a multi-well follow-up drill program to assess the commercial potential of the broader Lawson Complex.
