Luxxfolio invests in Litecoin Layer 2 project LitVM
Luxxfolio Holdings Inc. (CSE: LUXX) (OTCQB: LUXFF) has made a strategic investment in LitVM, a Layer 2 blockchain infrastructure project aimed at adding smart contract functionality to the Litecoin network, according to a company statement.
LitVM is developing an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible Layer 2 network intended to expand Litecoin's use beyond payments. The project targets applications in decentralized finance, tokenized real-world assets, and other blockchain-based financial services, using zero-knowledge technology and blockchain interoperability infrastructure.
Luxxfolio, a Canadian company focused on Litecoin mining and infrastructure development, said the investment aligns with its existing operations in British Columbia, where it runs a Scrypt mining fleet.
CEO Tomek Antoniak said in the statement: "Litecoin has established itself as one of the most resilient and widely recognized digital assets, and we believe the next phase of its evolution will be driven by expanded utility and infrastructure development."
The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Luxxfolio said it intends to continue evaluating additional opportunities across the digital asset infrastructure space.
Luxxfolio is also listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the ticker LUH0.
