Liberty Defense sells HEXWAVE security system to infectious disease lab
Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. (TSXV: SCAN, OTCQB: LDDFF) announced it secured a contract to deploy its HEXWAVE walkthrough screening system at an infectious disease research laboratory. The system will screen employees and visitors entering and exiting the facility.
The HEXWAVE system uses millimeter-wave imaging combined with artificial intelligence to detect concealed threats including metallic and non-metallic items, liquids, gels, powders, and ceramics. The technology allows most everyday items to remain on the person during screening.
"This award came after a successful on-site trial, and our continued collaboration with the customer focused on meeting their rigorous screening standards," said Bill Frain, CEO of Liberty Defense.
The company also announced that shareholders approved its amended omnibus incentive plan at the annual general meeting held on December 12, 2025. The TSX Venture Exchange has provided final approval for the plan. The 2025 Omnibus Incentive Plan authorizes stock options, restricted share units and deferred share units, with a maximum of 10% of outstanding common shares issuable under all share compensation arrangements.
Liberty Defense provides security detection technology for airports, stadiums, schools and other high-traffic locations. The company holds an exclusive license from Massachusetts Institute of Technology for its HEXWAVE product and has licensed millimeter wave-based body scanner and shoe scanner technologies.
