Liberty Defense partners with K'(Prime) Technologies for Canada expansion
Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. (TSXV: SCAN, OTCQB: LDDFF) announced a non-exclusive distribution agreement with K'(Prime) Technologies Inc. to distribute its HEXWAVE walkthrough screening system in the Canadian aviation and urban security markets.
The agreement allows Calgary-based K'(Prime) to add Liberty Defense's AI-powered weapon detection system to its security equipment portfolio. K'(Prime) has over 20 years of experience in security equipment sales, rental, and service operations.
The HEXWAVE system uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect both metallic and non-metallic weapons and threats in real-time as people walk through the screening portal.
"We are excited to partner with Liberty Defense to bring HEXWAVE technology to the Canadian aviation and urban security market," said Marc Tomlinson, K'(Prime)'s President. He cited the companies' shared commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction as factors in the partnership decision.
Liberty Defense CEO Bill Frain said the partnership aims to expand market reach and drive revenue growth, particularly in detecting threats like non-metallic explosives and 3D-printed weapons.
K'(Prime) currently holds a five-year, $160 million contract with the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority to provide maintenance services for passenger screening equipment at Canadian airports. The company operates maintenance services across all Canadian provinces and territories.
Liberty Defense develops multi-technology security solutions for high-traffic areas including airports, stadiums, and schools. The company's technology portfolio includes millimeter wave imaging and AI-based detection systems for concealed weapons screening.
