Li Auto launches electric SUV with three trim levels
Li Auto Inc. (NASDAQ: LI; HKEX: 2015) launched the Li i8, a six-seat battery electric SUV, with deliveries scheduled to begin August 20, 2025, according to a company press release.
The vehicle offers three trim levels priced at RMB321,800 for the Pro, RMB349,800 for the Max, and RMB369,800 for the Ultra. The SUV features two battery pack options of 90.1 kilowatt-hours and 97.8 kilowatt-hours, providing CLTC ranges of 670 kilometers and 720 kilometers respectively.
The Li i8 includes standard all-wheel drive across all trims and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The vehicle measures 5,085 millimeters in length, 1,960 millimeters in width, and 1,740 millimeters in height, with a 3,050-millimeter wheelbase.
Li Auto stated it has built 3,000 super charging stations, including approximately 1,000 highway stations and 2,000 urban stations across more than 250 cities. The company claims this represents the largest super charging network among Chinese automakers.
The SUV incorporates Li Auto's proprietary electric drive system with silicon carbide power chips and features a dual-chamber air suspension system with four adjustable height settings and maximum ground clearance of 196 millimeters.
Safety features include LiDAR sensors standard across all trims and enhanced automatic emergency steering. The Pro model uses a Horizon Robotics J6M chip with 128 TOPS computing power, while Max and Ultra models feature an NVIDIA Thor-U chip with 700 TOPS.
Li Auto also announced a brand upgrade focused on providing mobile home experiences for families, according to the press release.
