Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX) released its annual letter from CEO Richard Christopher detailing the company's 2025 achievements and outlining plans for 2026. The biotechnology company focuses on drug delivery platforms using its proprietary DehydraTECH technology.

During 2025, Lexaria conducted multiple human and animal studies examining its technology with three major GLP-1 drugs: semaglutide, tirzepatide, and liraglutide. The company completed its first Phase 1b registrational study in Australia and received 10 additional patents, expanding its portfolio to 56 patents worldwide.

The company raised $9.5 million through three equity offerings in 2025. Christopher noted the weighted average price of $7.5 million raised in the final two transactions was $1.41 per share, compared to a daily average closing price of approximately $1.00 per share from May through mid-December.

In its Human Study #4, Lexaria reported that its DHT-semaglutide formulation demonstrated a 48% reduction in total adverse events compared to Novo Nordisk's Rybelsus control group, with a 55% reduction specifically in gastrointestinal adverse events. The study met its primary endpoints of safety and tolerability.

The company extended its Material Transfer Agreement with an undisclosed pharmaceutical partner through April 2026 to allow review of the Human Study #4 dataset. Lexaria is currently providing the study data, which comprises over 7,000 pages, to this partner for evaluation.

For 2026, Lexaria plans to design and conduct additional human studies using what it describes as next-generation DHT formulations. The company expects to complete these studies within the calendar year using existing resources. It also plans to explore the expedited FDA 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway for DHT-processed liraglutide.

Christopher acknowledged shareholder frustration with stock performance and stated the company now has sufficient funding to conduct a national marketing campaign with a mid-six-figure budget during 2026.
