Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) and Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE: UBER) announced an expanded partnership that will integrate grocery delivery and restaurant services across digital platforms.
Beginning early 2026, customers will be able to order from more than 2,600 Kroger stores through the Uber Eats app, including banners such as Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Smith's, Fry's, Harris Teeter, and Mariano's. The service will offer the full store assortment including fresh groceries, household items, and Kroger's private-label products.
The partnership introduces cross-loyalty benefits between the companies' membership programs. Kroger Boost members will receive an extended free trial of Uber One, which provides 6% cash back and automatic surge savings on rides, $0 delivery fees, and up to 10% off Uber Eats orders. Uber One members will have access to an extended free trial of Kroger's Boost membership, including 2X fuel points and $0 delivery fees for orders on Kroger.com or the Kroger app.
Uber Eats restaurant selection will be integrated directly into the Kroger app, allowing customers to order groceries and restaurant meals within the same platform. Kroger stated it will be the first retailer to offer this combined service with $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees for Boost members.
The companies will also collaborate on retail media experiences for brands to engage customers with relevant products and promotions.
"Our customers want to choose how they shop, when they shop and how they access their groceries," said Yael Cosset, executive vice president and chief digital officer at Kroger.
Susan Anderson, Global Head of Delivery at Uber, said Kroger is the first retailer to bring Uber Eats directly into its digital shopping experience and connect the two membership ecosystems.
The announcement builds on an existing relationship between the companies, according to the press release.
