KULR Technology names new CFO and board member

KULR Technology Group, Inc. (NYSE American: KULR) appointed Dr. Michael Kimel as chief financial officer and Steven Perez as an independent board member, both effective June 9, 2026, according to a company statement.



Dr. Kimel, who previously served as audit committee chair on KULR's board of directors, resigned from the board in connection with his new executive role. He brings more than 30 years of experience in financial strategy and profitability improvement, including founding consulting firm Pricimetrics and serving in senior pricing and analytics roles at OmniSource United, Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc., FirstEnergy, and Sears Holdings. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.



"Mike has already begun helping KULR sharpen its operating discipline, pricing framework, and margin improvement initiatives," said Michael Mo, co-founder and chief executive officer of KULR Technology Group.



Steven Perez joins the board with more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience at technology companies. He most recently held director-level enterprise sales positions at Twilio (NYSE: TWLO), including regional sales director managing revenue portfolios and teams providing communications software and AI solutions. His background includes roles at Salesforce, LinkedIn, Adobe EchoSign, Jive Software, Sun Microsystems and Philips Electronics North America. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.



KULR Technology Group develops battery safety and thermal control solutions for lithium-ion systems used in space, defense, mobility, data centers, and telecom infrastructure applications.
