KIDZ AI submits inquiry to Tesla for 500 robotaxis
KIDZ AI Inc. (NASDAQ: KIDZ), an education technology company, announced it has submitted a fleet procurement inquiry to Tesla for an initial 500 robotaxis and plans to develop an autonomous fleet operations strategy, according to a press release.
The company said the inquiry does not constitute a binding order and does not guarantee vehicle availability, allocation, or delivery. Any potential acquisition remains subject to applicable requirements and definitive agreements.
The proposed strategy is described as being in a preliminary planning, evaluation, and partner exploration phase. KIDZ AI said it may choose not to proceed with the initiative and offered no assurance that it would advance further.
Under the proposed strategy, KIDZ AI said it would focus on acquiring autonomous vehicles, deploying them into commercial service, and managing fleet operations. The company said it intends to evaluate deployments based on vehicle acquisition costs, operating requirements, market conditions, regulatory considerations, and potential revenue opportunities.
While the initial inquiry targets Tesla's robotaxi ecosystem, KIDZ AI said it plans to evaluate other autonomous mobility platforms as the market develops and may explore autonomous vehicle applications beyond passenger robotaxis.
KIDZ AI describes itself primarily as an AI-driven education technology company that also pursues opportunities in AI compute infrastructure and GPU cloud platforms.
