James Hardie names Terex CFO as non-executive director

James Hardie Industries plc (NYSE/ASX: JHX) has appointed Jennifer Kong-Picarello as an independent non-executive director, effective October 1, 2026.

Kong-Picarello currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Terex Corporation (NYSE: TEX), a global manufacturer of specialty vehicles and industrial equipment with approximately $8 billion in revenue. In that role, she oversees finance, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, enterprise risk, investor relations, and internal audit.

Prior to Terex, she served as Senior Vice President and CFO of the Energy Management segment of Schneider Electric SE, which carried revenue of approximately €27 billion at the time. She also held several CFO positions at Honeywell, including roles in its warehouse automation and smart meter energy businesses. Earlier in her career, she held finance and audit roles at Tyco International and began her career at Deloitte.

Kong-Picarello holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). She is expected to join the company's Audit Committee in November 2026.

Board Chair Nigel Stein said in a statement, "As a serving public company Chief Financial Officer with more than 25 years of experience in global manufacturing, she brings deep expertise in financial management, capital allocation and M&A execution and integration."
