International Battery Metals promotes Garrett Galloway to executive officer
International Battery Metals Ltd. (TSXV: IBAT) (OTCQB: IBATF) appointed Garrett Galloway, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, as an executive officer effective April 6, 2026, according to a company statement.
Galloway joined the lithium extraction technology company in May 2025 to oversee growth initiatives including business development activities, strategic partnerships, transactions, finance initiatives and investor relations.
"As we advance the commercialization of our proprietary direct lithium extraction technology, Garrett's role in driving strategic partnerships and capital markets initiatives has become increasingly central to our operations," said Joseph A. Mills, Chief Executive Officer. "Mr. Galloway's appointment as an executive officer reflects the importance of corporate development to IBAT's growth strategy."
Galloway brings over 15 years of energy industry experience, including multiple finance positions and oversight of complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and debt and equity financing. Before joining International Battery Metals, he served as Vice President of Finance at QuarterNorth Energy and held management positions at other private and public energy companies. He began his career in BOK Financial's energy group and holds a bachelor's degree in business and finance from the University of Alabama.
International Battery Metals develops direct lithium extraction technology for brine resources through modular plant design and architecture. The Houston-based company integrates its extraction process into existing customer operations or provides complete solutions using its proprietary design with strategic partnerships.
