Investing.com -- Integer Holdings (NYSE: ITGR) shares surged 21% Friday afternoon following a Wall Street Journal report that private-equity firm KKR is near a deal to take the medical-device outsourcing company private.
Trading in the stock was briefly halted due to volatility following the report. The deal could be announced as soon as next week and would value the Plano, Texas-based company at roughly $127 per share, according to people familiar with the matter cited by the Journal.
Integer Holdings specializes in medical device outsourcing services. The potential acquisition would represent KKR’s latest move into the healthcare sector through a take-private transaction.
