Innoviz Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: INVZ) announced a partnership with Dataspeed Inc. to integrate InnovizSMART LiDAR sensors into Dataspeed's drive-by-wire vehicle systems across North America.
The collaboration will focus on autonomous vehicle applications in defense, agriculture, mining, automotive, and off-highway industries. Dataspeed's drive-by-wire platforms are designed for deployment in challenging environments including deserts, forests, open pit mines, farmland, and mountains.
InnovizSMART sensors are designed to maintain performance when exposed to optical blockages such as mud, dirt, condensation, and airborne debris. The technology aims to deliver continuous 3D data even with obstructions on the LiDAR window that typically affect camera and other LiDAR systems.
"Our partnership with Dataspeed reflects our ongoing commitment to provide robust LiDAR sensors designed for the real world, not controlled environments," said Mrinal Sood, VP North America at Innoviz.
The integration will provide customers with blockage-resilient LiDAR performance, direct integration with Dataspeed's control architecture, and purpose-built autonomous research and development vehicles for various applications.
"For our customers operating in challenging terrains and demanding landscapes, sensor reliability is not a luxury, it's a mission-critical KPI," said Paul Fleck, CEO of Dataspeed.
Innoviz operates as a Tier 1 supplier to automotive manufacturers and serves markets across the United States, Europe, and Asia. The company provides LiDAR solutions for automotive OEMs, system integrators, municipalities, and commercial enterprises.
Dataspeed specializes in autonomous vehicle development, providing drive-by-wire systems for on-road and off-road applications across defense, automotive, industrial, and academic research sectors.
