Infosys (NYSE: INFY) announced a joint venture with Telstra to acquire a 75% stake in Versent Group, Australia's digital transformation solutions provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of Telstra Group, according to a press release statement.

Under the arrangement, Infosys will have operational control while Telstra retains a 25% minority stake in Versent Group. The transaction is expected to close during the second half of fiscal year 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Versent Group operates with a team of 650 engineers, advisors, and strategists across Australia, serving large organizations in government, education, financial institutions, energy, and utilities sectors. The company provides cloud and digital transformation services.

The collaboration will combine Versent Group's local digital engineering expertise with Infosys' AI capabilities and cloud consulting services, including Infosys Topaz and Infosys Cobalt offerings. The partnership will also incorporate cybersecurity capabilities from The Missing Link.

"Our collaboration with Infosys reflects our confidence in the value we can unlock together," said Vicki Brady, Chief Executive Officer of Telstra. "Their global scale, deep industry knowledge, and culture of innovation and service excellence will be instrumental in accelerating Versent Group's growth and impact across the region."

Salil Parekh, Chief Executive Officer of Infosys, stated: "We are excited to bring Infosys Topaz™ to enable transformative AI-first capabilities to complement Versent Group's cloud-first digital foundation."

This joint venture builds on existing partnerships between the companies. In 2024, Infosys announced a multi-year collaboration with Telstra for software engineering and IT transformation. In 2025, Infosys announced a collaboration with Telstra International to support Telstra's Connected Future 30 strategy.
