Imperial appoints Tanya Bryja to board, names new lead director
Imperial Oil Limited (TSE: IMO, NYSE American: IMO) announced the appointment of Tanya Bryja to its board of directors effective September 16, 2025.
Bryja serves as ExxonMobil's Senior Vice President of Energy Products, where she leads the global energy products business including fuels, aromatics, catalysts and technology licensing. She has 27 years of experience with ExxonMobil across downstream and corporate organizations in the United States and Belgium.
The company also announced board leadership changes. David Cornhill will retire as Lead Director and not seek re-election at the 2026 annual shareholder meeting due to the board's mandatory retirement age policy. Miranda Hubbs, a current director, will succeed Cornhill as Lead Director effective October 1, 2025. Cornhill will continue serving as an independent director until the 2026 annual meeting.
Bryja earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University in 1997 and joined ExxonMobil that year. The information was disclosed in a company press release.
