INmune Bio and Quantum Computing Inc. partner on Alzheimer's drug research

October 14, 2026 8:45 AM EDT

INmune Bio Inc. (Nasdaq: INMB) and Quantum Computing Inc. (Nasdaq: QUBT) announced a collaboration to apply quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and data analytics to identify potential new applications for XPro1595, INmune Bio's investigational treatment for Alzheimer's disease.

The collaboration will use QCi's Dirac-3S quantum optimization machine alongside AI and conventional analytics to analyze INmune Bio's data from pre-clinical research and four clinical trials, as well as publicly available biomedical datasets. The companies intend to use the analysis to identify diseases driven by the same biological mechanisms targeted by XPro1595 and to prioritize indications with higher potential for development success.

According to the companies, this Stage 1 engagement marks QCi's first commercial customer in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology market. The agreement includes options for additional work as INmune Bio advances its clinical programs.

INmune Bio Chief Executive Officer David Moss said the collaboration would allow examination of patient populations and biomarkers most likely to predict treatment responses, with an initial focus on rare diseases where trials can be smaller and faster, and where pediatric approvals may earn a Priority Review Voucher.

XPro1595 is designed to selectively inhibit soluble tumor necrosis factor, a protein involved in inflammation, while preserving other immune functions. INmune Bio is investigating the drug's potential in neurological and rare diseases.

The companies also plan to compare results from QCi's quantum optimization machine against conventional statistical and machine-learning methods to evaluate which approaches are best suited to different parts of the analysis.
