Hippo Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HIPO) announced an expanded partnership with Accelerant (NYSE: ARX), a specialty insurance risk exchange platform, effective July 1, 2026, with the full program commencing October 1, 2026.

Under the agreement, Hippo will serve as a fronting carrier for more than $500 million in annual gross written premiums across Accelerant's U.S. portfolio in 2027. The partnership builds on an existing relationship between the two companies that began in 2025.

In connection with the announcement, Hippo updated its full-year 2028 guidance. The company now targets gross written premiums exceeding $2.5 billion, up from a prior target of $2 billion. Its adjusted net income target was raised to $140 million from $125 million. Adjusted net income is a non-GAAP measure.

Hippo also said it now expects to reach its $2 billion gross written premium milestone in 2027, one year ahead of its original schedule.

"We are built to move decisively when the right opportunity presents itself, and this is one of those moments," said Rick McCathron, President and CEO of Hippo Holdings. "With this agreement in place, we expect to achieve our $2 billion gross written premium target in 2027, a full year ahead of plan."

Jeff Radke, Chairman and CEO of Accelerant, said the partnership "strengthens the Accelerant Risk Exchange for our Members and the insureds" and "provides the best MGAs continued runway for profitable growth."

The arrangement gives Hippo access to Accelerant's specialty insurance portfolio, risk selection tools, analytics, and reinsurance connectivity through Accelerant's Risk Capital Partners network.
