Hemlo Mining Corp. (TSX: HMMC) (OTCQX: HMMCF) has appointed Eva Koci as an independent director, effective June 22, 2026, according to a company press release. The board now consists of seven directors, a majority of whom are independent.

Koci has been named Chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. Her appointment also prompted a reorganization of committee memberships, with each of the Audit, Compensation, and Nominating and Governance committees now composed solely of independent directors.

Koci brings more than 20 years of capital markets and investment banking experience in the mining sector. Most recently, she served as Partner and Head of Capital Markets at Oberon Capital Corporation from 2013 to 2024, where she helped raise more than $1.5 billion in charity flow-through financing. Earlier in her career, she held roles at Scotia Capital Markets, Jennings Capital, and Stifel Nicolaus Canada Inc. She previously served as an independent director of South Kirkland Gold from 2017 to 2024.

Koci holds a CFA charter, an MBA in Finance from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, and graduate and undergraduate degrees in French Language and Literature from Western University.

Hemlo Mining operates the Hemlo Gold Mine in northwestern Ontario, which has produced approximately 25 million ounces of gold since 1985.
