Guided Therapeutics signs new China distribution deal for LuViva device
Guided Therapeutics, Inc. (OTCQB: GTHP) announced a new agreement with Yuanshuo Medical Instruments Corporation (YMIC) to supply LuViva Advanced Cervical Scan instruments, single-use components, and support services in China.
Under the agreement, Guided Therapeutics will receive payments and parts from China valued at approximately $300,000. Upon approval by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), the company will execute a purchase order for 50 LuViva systems and 500,000 single-use components. In return, Guided Therapeutics will provide services and specialized parts needed for a manufacturing inspection by the NMPA. A successful inspection is expected to lead to NMPA approval for marketing and sale of LuViva in China.
YMIC is headquartered in Jiangsu province, China, and holds a Chinese government license to sell and distribute Class II and Class III medical devices.
The new agreement runs alongside an existing deal with Hangzhou Dongye Medical Technology Company, Ltd. (HDMT), under which Guided Therapeutics is supplying 35 devices. Seven have been delivered, with nine more scheduled for later in 2026. HDMT operates in Zhejiang Province as the exclusive gynecology product provider for 42 hospitals that perform approximately two million cervical cancer screenings annually.
