GE HealthCare Technologies (Nasdaq: GEHC) announced that Jay Saccaro will step down as Chief Financial Officer to pursue a role outside the medical technology industry. George Newcomb, currently the company's Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, has been named interim CFO. Saccaro will remain with the company through Aug. 14, 2026, to assist with the transition. GE HealthCare said it has begun a search for a permanent successor.

Newcomb has more than 38 years of finance experience. He has served as GE HealthCare's Controller since February 2016 and was named Chief Accounting Officer when the company spun off from General Electric in 2023. Prior to that, he held various finance leadership roles at GE Capital and was a Senior Tax Manager at Arthur Andersen. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Alongside the leadership announcement, the Chicago-based company released preliminary, unaudited financial results for the second quarter ending June 30, 2026. Total revenues rose to $5.295 billion from $5.007 billion in the same period a year earlier, a year-over-year increase of 5.7%. Organic revenue, which excludes acquisitions, dispositions, and foreign currency effects, grew 3.5% to $5.182 billion. The company said diluted earnings per share and Adjusted EPS are expected to come in above its prior expectation for the quarter.

GE HealthCare reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, which was originally provided on April 29, 2026. The company said it will release complete second quarter results on July 29, 2026.

The preliminary figures are unaudited and subject to revision upon completion of the company's quarterly financial closing process, according to the press release.
