G Mining Ventures reaches nameplate capacity at Tocantinzinho mine
G Mining Ventures Corp. (TSX: GMIN) (OTCQX: GMINF) reported its Tocantinzinho Gold Mine in Brazil achieved nameplate capacity, with the processing plant operating at an average of 12,890 tonnes per day over 30 consecutive days. The company produced 42,587 ounces of gold in the second quarter of 2025.
The mine's processing plant averaged 11,100 tonnes per day in the second quarter, representing 86% of nameplate capacity. Performance improved significantly after April, with May and June averaging 12,300 tonnes per day or 96% of nameplate capacity.
Gold production increased 20% from the first quarter, while gold recovery improved to 90.3% from 87.7% in the previous quarter. The mining rate averaged 47,900 tonnes per day, an 18% increase from the first quarter.
The company resolved earlier operational challenges by replacing problematic poly-met liners in the Semi-Autogenous Grinding mill with a steel system in April. The original liners caused frequent unscheduled downtime due to premature wear.
"The team at TZ has delivered an impressive Q2 following the SAG mill liner challenges earlier this year, leading to a successful ramp up to nameplate throughput," said Louis-Pierre Gignac, President and Chief Executive Officer.
For the first half of 2025, the mine produced 78,165 ounces of gold, representing 42% of the midpoint of annual guidance. G Mining Ventures maintained its 2025 production guidance of 175,000 to 200,000 ounces for the Tocantinzinho mine.
The company plans to release second quarter financial results on August 14, 2025, followed by a conference call the next day. Additional mine fleet equipment delivered to Brazil is scheduled for assembly and commissioning in the third quarter.
