Franklin Credit Management names Sean Hundtofte as CEO

Franklin Credit Management Corporation (OTC Markets: FCRM) announced it has reached an understanding with Dr. Sean Hundtofte to serve as chief executive officer and board member. The New Jersey-based specialty mortgage and loan servicer made the announcement August 21.



Dr. Hundtofte previously worked as a financial economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and held executive positions at Better.com, where he served as chief economist, head of credit risk, and head of acquisitions.



Thomas Axon, Franklin Credit's chairman and largest shareholder, said in a statement that "Sean's leadership, expertise and experience in the financial markets and credit risk management are second to none." Axon noted that Hundtofte's background at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and experience at Better.com are expected to provide insights as the company addresses challenges in the specialty finance sector.



In addition to his role at Franklin Credit, Dr. Hundtofte will continue serving as CEO of Solve Finance, a company he established in 2021 that helps individuals manage debt and improve credit through technology and financial guidance.



Dr. Hundtofte holds a Ph.D. in financial economics from Yale University, a master's degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University, and an undergraduate degree in computing science from the University of Glasgow.



Franklin Credit Management Corporation, established in 1988 and based in Jersey City, New Jersey, specializes in servicing and resolving residential mortgage loans. The company's services include loan recovery, collection servicing, and analyzing and acquiring mortgage portfolios. Its shares trade on the OTC Markets Pink Limited Market under ticker FCRM.
