Hon Hai Technology Group, known as Foxconn (TWSE: 2317), appointed Michael Chiang as rotating chief executive officer for a one-year term beginning April 1, according to a company statement.

Chiang succeeds Kathy Yang in the rotating CEO position while continuing to lead the company's smart consumer electronics business operations. The transition is part of Foxconn's executive development program designed to cultivate senior leadership talent.

"The core of senior CEO training lies in direct involvement and hands-on problem-solving in management and operations," said Foxconn Chairman Young Liu. "Through a continuous mindset of debugging and the construction of methodologies, we strengthen the Group's operational foundations, while allowing talent development and system building to progress in parallel."

Chiang joined Foxconn in 1999 and was assigned to California in the early 2000s to oversee the company's personal computer business. He has since taken on expanded responsibilities in information and communications technology operations and key customer accounts. Chiang holds a master's degree from Claremont Graduate University, specializing in human resource development and organizational strategy management.

During her tenure as rotating CEO, Yang focused on operational processes and governance advancement, driving collaboration across business units. Yang was recognized in Fortune's "100 Most Powerful Women Asia 2025" and Manufacturing Digital's "Top 10: Women in Manufacturing" in 2026.

Foxconn describes itself as the world's largest electronics manufacturer and a technology solutions provider. The rotating CEO structure represents the company's approach to developing executive talent and maintaining operational continuity.
