Federal Signal names two new board directors

Federal Signal Corporation (NYSE: FSS) appointed Richard A. Maue and Eric A. Vaillancourt to its board of directors, effective immediately, the company announced.

Maue serves as chief financial officer of Crane Company (NYSE: CR) since January 2013. He joined Crane in August 2007 as vice president, controller and chief accounting officer, later becoming co-CFO in May 2010 before assuming full CFO responsibilities in 2013. The company promoted him to executive vice president in February 2023.

Before Crane, Maue worked at Paxar Corporation as vice president, controller and chief accounting officer, and at Protiviti, Inc. as a director in their internal audit practice. He began his career in audit and business advisory at Arthur Andersen. Maue holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Villanova University and is a certified public accountant.

Vaillancourt has served as president and CEO of Enpro Inc. (NYSE: NPO) since November 2021, after serving as interim president and CEO beginning in August 2021. He previously held various leadership positions at Enpro since joining in 2009, including president of the Sealing Technologies segment and president of multiple divisions.

Prior to Enpro, Vaillancourt held positions with Bluelinx Corporation, reaching regional vice president of north sales and distribution. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Empire State College and completed Harvard's Advanced Management Program in 2014.

"Rich's vast experience as a senior finance leader in a global industrial organization positions him to provide immediate, valued insight to our board," said Brenda L. Reichelderfer, Federal Signal's board chair, according to the company's statement. She noted Vaillancourt's expertise in operations, strategic planning, marketing and business development.

Federal Signal, founded in 1901 and headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois, manufactures equipment for municipal, governmental, industrial and commercial customers through its Environmental Solutions and Safety and Security Systems groups.
