Fabric.AI hires Kearney to guide commercialization of optical platform
Fabric.AI (Nasdaq: FABC) has engaged Kearney, a global management consulting firm, to develop a commercialization strategy for its Neural I/o™ MicroLED-based optical interconnect platform, according to a press release from the company.
Fabric.AI and its development partner Kopin Corporation (Nasdaq: KOPN) have signed non-disclosure agreements with several semiconductor and data center technology companies, with technical discussions described as ongoing. Kearney's role will include sharpening product positioning, identifying target customers and channel partners, and building a commercial pipeline ahead of planned hardware demonstrations in early 2027.
James Altucher, an independent strategic advisor to Fabric.AI, said the company anticipates "active sales discussions beginning shortly after we demonstrate working hardware early next year."
The company noted that the existence of non-disclosure agreements and ongoing technical discussions does not represent a commercial commitment, and there is no assurance that such discussions will result in definitive agreements, design wins, or revenue.
Kearney operates in more than 40 countries and counts three-quarters of the Fortune Global 500 among its clients. Kopin is developing Neural I/o optical interconnects that use programmable MicroLED pixels as optical transceivers intended for AI data centers.
