Enerflex appoints Paul Mahoney as president and CEO

Enerflex Ltd. (TSX: EFX) (NYSE: EFXT) announced the appointment of Paul E. Mahoney as president and chief executive officer, effective September 29, 2025. Mahoney will also join the company's board of directors on the same date.
The appointment follows a global search process that evaluated internal and external candidates with assistance from an executive search firm, according to a company statement.
Mahoney brings over 30 years of experience in the industrial and energy sectors. Since 2018, he has served as group president of production and automation technologies at ChampionX Corporation, a provider of production technologies for upstream and midstream oil and gas markets. ChampionX was acquired by SLB in July 2025. Previously, Mahoney held the position of president of artificial lift at Dover Corporation.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in physics and electrical engineering from the University of Buffalo and an MBA from Seattle University's Albers School of Business and Economics. Mahoney also serves as a director of Chart Industries Inc.
Kevin Reinhart, chair of Enerflex's board, stated that Mahoney's "broad industry experience, proven track record of developing and executing winning strategies, exemplary leadership capabilities, and fresh perspective make him the ideal candidate to drive the Company's ongoing focus on creating sustainable shareholder value."
Preet S. Dhindsa, who served as interim CEO, will return to his role as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Joe Ladouceur, who served as interim CFO, will remain as vice president of treasury, tax, and insurance.
The Calgary-based company provides energy infrastructure and energy transition solutions globally, with over 4,400 employees across engineering, manufacturing, and technical roles.
