Embassy REIT names Amit Shetty as new chief executive officer
Embassy Office Parks REIT (NSE: EMBASSY / BSE: 542602) announced the appointment of Amit Shetty as chief executive officer, effective August 1, 2025, according to a company statement.
Shetty currently serves as chief operating officer of Embassy REIT and joined the company in 2021 from CBRE, where he worked for 14 years. He brings over 20 years of experience in office leasing, asset sales, construction and operations management across India.
Ritwik Bhattacharjee, the current CEO, will transition to serve as senior advisor to the REIT. The board selected Shetty after conducting a search process with a global executive search firm.
"After conducting a process with a global executive search firm, the Board of the Manager to Embassy REIT unanimously chose Amit Shetty to be Embassy REIT's CEO," said Jitu Virwani, chairman of Embassy Group.
As chief operating officer, Shetty was responsible for Embassy REIT's leasing, capital projects and operations functions. Prior to joining Embassy REIT, he held senior leadership roles at Honeywell and CBRE.
Embassy REIT describes itself as India's first publicly listed Real Estate Investment Trust and operates a 51.2 million square foot portfolio of 14 office parks in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, the National Capital Region and Chennai. The portfolio comprises 40.4 million square feet of completed operating area and houses 274 companies.
