Einride AB announced that Gary Hicok, a former NVIDIA senior executive, will be appointed to the company's board of directors. Hicok brings more than 25 years of leadership and autonomous technology experience to the Swedish freight technology company.

At NVIDIA, Hicok led Automotive Hardware and Systems, overseeing the NVIDIA DRIVE platforms for autonomous vehicle computing. He previously served as Senior Vice President of the Mobile Business Unit, leading development of the Tegra processor platform, and also led the Core Logic Business Unit.

"Einride is solving an industry-scale problem the right way. Its platform approach unlocks partnerships, accelerates innovation, and makes electrified and autonomous freight real," Hicok said in the company's statement.

Einride operates digital, electric, and autonomous freight solutions and serves more than 25 enterprise customers across seven countries. The company reports approximately $65 million in expected annual recurring revenue from signed customer contracts and over $800 million in potential long-term annual recurring revenue through joint business plans.

The company has announced plans to pursue a public listing on the New York Stock Exchange through a proposed business combination with Legato Merger Corp. III (NYSE AMERICAN: LEGT), a special purpose acquisition company. The transaction was unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both companies and is anticipated to occur in the first half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

Einride has received regulatory permits for autonomous vehicle operations across the United States and Europe and maintains operations in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The company was founded in 2016 and is based in Stockholm.
