Ecopetrol nominates Rodriguez Yee for board director position

Ecopetrol S.A. (NYSE: EC) announced that hydrocarbon-producing departments have nominated Ricardo Rodriguez Yee as their candidate for the company's Board of Directors. The nomination represents a continuation, as Rodriguez Yee previously served in this capacity.
The nominee will be presented to shareholders for election as the eighth director on the slate proposed by the Government of Colombia. The hydrocarbon-producing departments where Ecopetrol operates selected Rodriguez Yee to represent their interests on the board.
Ecopetrol operates as Colombia's largest company and maintains positions across multiple energy sectors. The company is responsible for more than 60% of Colombia's hydrocarbon production and holds operations in transportation, logistics, and refining systems. The company also maintains positions in petrochemicals and gas distribution.
The company's international operations span strategic basins across the Americas, including drilling and exploration activities in the United States, Brazil, and Mexico. Through its acquisition of 51.4% of ISA's shares, Ecopetrol participates in energy transmission and holds positions in power transmission businesses in Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia.
The information was disclosed in a company press release statement. Ecopetrol trades on the Colombian stock exchange under the ticker ECOPETROL and on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker EC.
