October 9, 2025 7:30 AM EDT

DoorDash Inc. (NASDAQ: DASH) and Serve Robotics Inc. (NASDAQ: SERV) announced a multi-year partnership to deploy autonomous delivery robots across the United States, according to a press release from the companies.

Los Angeles residents ordering through the DoorDash app from participating merchants may receive deliveries via Serve robots. The partnership aims to expand the volume of orders available to Serve for autonomous delivery.

Serve Robotics has completed over 100,000 deliveries from more than 2,500 restaurants in cities including Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Chicago and Atlanta. The company was spun off from Uber in 2021 and has existing contracts to deploy up to 2,000 delivery robots across multiple U.S. markets.

"We're thrilled to join forces with DoorDash to help bring the future of delivery to life," said Dr. Ali Kashani, co-founder and CEO of Serve Robotics. "Serve has long been a leader in autonomous delivery, and this partnership allows us to serve more customers."

Harrison Shih, Head of Product for DoorDash Labs, stated: "At DoorDash, we're building a multi-modal logistics platform where Dashers, autonomous robots, and drones each play a role in making deliveries faster, more efficient, and more sustainable."

The partnership integrates with DoorDash's Autonomous Delivery Platform, which optimizes delivery methods including drones, robots and human drivers. DoorDash operates in over 40 countries and went public in 2020.

Serve Robotics develops AI-powered sidewalk delivery robots and maintains partnerships with enterprise clients including Uber Eats and 7-Eleven.
