Domestic Metals completes geophysical survey at Smart Creek project
Domestic Metals Corp. (TSXV: DMCU; OTCQB: DMCUF; FSE: 03E0) completed an induced polarization geophysical survey at its Smart Creek copper-gold-silver project in Montana, according to a company statement.
TMC Geophysics conducted the fieldwork between February 6 and March 2, 2026, acquiring 26 line-kilometers of IP data using the pole-dipole electrode array. The survey aimed to expand previous IP geophysics data collected by Rio Tinto to identify drill targets ahead of planned diamond drilling in the second quarter of 2026.
"This new geophysical data will further help us in vectoring toward the center of porphyry mineralization that our geologists are confident is the source of high-grade metal results that we have seen from our work done at Smart Creek," said Gord Neal, CEO of Domestic Metals. The company plans to begin its drill campaign in mid-April.
The company is currently modeling the new data and will release results in a future announcement. The IP geophysics technique measures chargeability and resistivity values to provide insights into the distribution of sulfides and hydrothermal alteration in the subsurface.
Domestic Metals also announced amendments to warrant terms for its non-brokered private placement initially announced February 4, 2026. The company plans to issue up to 12.5 million units at $0.28 per unit for gross proceeds of up to $3.5 million. Each warrant now allows holders to purchase one additional share at $0.40 for three years from issuance, with no acceleration of the expiry date.
Each unit consists of one common share and one warrant. Daniel MacNeil, a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101, reviewed the technical information in the announcement.
