Diginex and SGS renew strategic alliance for sustainable finance
Diginex Limited (NASDAQ: DGNX) and SGS announced the reaffirmation of their strategic alliance, originally established in 2022, to deliver sustainable finance solutions. The renewed partnership aims to address growing demand for ESG data assurance services and sustainable finance frameworks.
The alliance combines Diginex's ESG data management platforms with SGS's global assurance, verification, and certification expertise. The collaboration focuses on helping financial institutions, corporations, and investors align with global sustainability standards and regulations.
Key components of the renewed alliance include enhanced ESG data assurance using blockchain technology, scalable solutions for financial institutions to integrate ESG metrics into financing strategies, and support for compliance with frameworks such as the EU Taxonomy and SFDR.
"We are thrilled to reaffirm our strategic alliance with SGS, a trusted global leader in assurance and certification," said Mark Blick, CEO of Diginex. "Together, we are uniquely positioned to empower the financial sector with reliable, technology-driven ESG solutions that drive meaningful progress toward a sustainable future."
Damien Rousseau, Head of Business Assurance at SGS, stated: "We are proud to continue our strategic alliance with Diginex, building on our shared vision of advancing sustainability through innovation and trust. This alliance strengthens our ability to support clients in navigating the complexities of sustainable finance with confidence and precision."
Since their original 2022 agreement, the companies have collaborated to help organizations enhance the credibility of their sustainability reporting. The partnership will prioritize solutions supporting net-zero targets, including carbon footprint assessments, supply chain transparency, and sustainability reporting.
Diginex operates as a sustainable RegTech business providing ESG, climate, and supply chain data collection and reporting solutions. SGS operates over 2,500 laboratories and business facilities across 115 countries and trades on the SIX Swiss Exchange under ticker SGSN.
