Cosa Resources starts summer uranium drilling at Darby joint venture
Cosa Resources Corp. (TSXV: COSA) (OTCQB: COSAF) has commenced a summer drilling program at its Darby uranium project in Saskatchewan, a joint venture with Denison Mines Corp. (TSX: DML) (NYSE American: DNN), according to a press release.
Cosa operates the project and holds a 70% interest, with Denison holding the remaining 30%. The Darby project is located 10 kilometers west of Cameco's Cigar Lake Mine in the Athabasca Basin.
The program will comprise up to 2,500 meters of drilling targeting two trends: Gamma and Bravo. At the Gamma trend, drilling will follow up on results from a winter 2026 campaign where drill hole DB24-41 defined a zone exceeding 100 meters wide hosting graphitic basement faulting, sandstone and basement alteration, and anomalous uranium geochemistry. At the Bravo trend, drilling will target uranium mineralization associated with more than 25 meters of unconformity relief within a magnetic low trend interpreted to extend toward the Cigar Lake Mine.
Cosa states the summer program is fully funded. The company reported $16 million in its treasury.
Keith Bodnarchuk, President and CEO, said the company is "finalizing plans for a 100% partner funded drilling program expected to commence at our Aurora project in the coming days."
Andy Carmichael, VP Exploration, noted that winter drilling and reinterpretation of historical results "further upgraded multiple trends, notably at Gamma and Bravo," citing geochemical anomalism, graphitic structure intersections, and untested strike length across major trends at Darby.
Cosa holds approximately 237,000 hectares across multiple projects in the Athabasca Basin region. The technical information in the press release was reviewed and approved by Andy Carmichael, P.Geo., a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.
